Q & A

Maja on art and b.arty

I do art because art is a part of me. I did not choose it, but recognised it. It’s always been present, as a way I experience and exist in the world. I just kept on developing it as a natural flow of my life, with the help of people who supported me with that.

The biggest challenge I face as an artist is to find balance between keeping the work personal and honest and how it is perceived. Sometimes I wonder if one should satisfy the expectations of the audience and follow demand, or remain true to one’s expression regardless of the reactions and achievements.

Besides art, I’m interested in photography, that is also a form of artistic expression, psychology and human stories, crafts and manual work (handpoke tattoos, hand made objects …)

I would like this form of communication with the audience to result in establishing a friendly relationship between the artists and the audience. To remove the barriers between us, as we cannot exist ones without others.
